Biography:
The Band” Gandhi’s Gun is a unique four piece rock band that aspires to be the liaison of straight forward heart pounding rock to fans of all genres. Its members, Mik Rowe, Robin Lopez, Mike Lopez and Bobby Mercier originally decided to form their group in early 2009 when the band came to fruition during a recording session in which the band recorded their debut release Full Throttle on the outskirts of San Antonio, Texas. Quickly gaining support through the internet’s MySpace, the band was able to gain a fan base of over 12,000 supporters within a 6 month period. After having been together for only 3 months, the band’s live show earned them opening slots for major acts including Wednesday 13, Cult to Follow, Hurt, Tantric, Aranda, and Atom Smash. The group’s pre-released music earned them instant air time on San Antonio’s largest rock station KISS 99.5 FM via local and regional support from radio station DJ Randy Bonillas and Program Director LA Loyd. With this support and open doors to the city’s most prestigious venues, Gandhi’s Gun has been able to acquire a dedicated and enthusiastic fan base eagerly awaiting the release of their debut record Full Throttle. In addition to support from local radio heavyweights, Gandhi’s Gun has recently been scouted and endorsed by Hugo Ferreira (SMG recording artist and vocalist of the band Tantric) who has assumed the role of A&R for Gandhi’s Gun. Ferreira’s endorsement of the band can be seen in the “One Shot” EPK and “One Shot” music video filmed by Happy Madison videographer, Jeff Bergman. The band plans to officially release Full Throttle by the first quarter of 2010. The record itself, being mixed and mastered by Columbia Recording Artist, front man and producer, Bryan Scott, of the bands The Union Underground and Cult to Follow is expected to be quite a success.
